A fashionista is someone who looks at fashion as a form of art. Fashionistas tend to be devoted to fashion clothing, particularly unique or high fashion but as an artist who expresses herself through her clothing she is able to look beyond trends introduced by others.


1. Buy fashion magazines. Particularly look out for magazines like Vogue or Marie Claire where the photography of the adverts can be as informative as the articles themselves. Magazines can give you some basic information about the fashion world. Carefully examine the details on photos. What is IN now and what is not? Discover new fashion trends. Pay attention to the way of clothing and allow it to inspire you as to how you can wear your own clothes.

2. Research your wardrobe closet. Make a selection. Get rid of clothes you won't wear anymore. Give it to charity. You can save interesting T-shirts, or old jeans which are not popular now if you think you can combine it with some other things to get unique look. Remember, a fashionista is not a person who obsessively follows trends.

3. Go shopping. If you can afford it, don't be sorry to spend a lot of money for clothes. Make sure you have enough time for shopping before you start. If you buy the first nice thing in store you'll make a mistake. Don't go just to one fashion store. Make sure you have go round all fashion stores before you buy something. You can get one dress and than find more beautiful dress in the next store. You don't want that to happen.


4. Mirror. Find out what looks good on you and what doesn't. It's ok to spend one or two hours in front of mirror discovering the perfect combination for you.
