Yes 4 days ago, I blogged about what every blogger should know and a few things i learnt while blogging.
Remember i told you i was re-launching be-info.blogspot.com on Friday, 1st of November 2013. My fingers are itching to blog what i have been up to.

Some years ago i thought i was abnormal as a woman to love gadgets more than clothes and shoes. So for a long time, i kept that feeling to myself and focused on other things, but  this even made me love gadgets so much more.

So here's the deal, going forward we will be blogging #GADGETS on this blog.

Everything you need to know about #gadgets.

Ranging from:-
  • Laptops,
  • Computer systems

Dear Blogger,

Bloggers please pause for a moment.....

Compare your post with posts of some other bloggers. Look around you and you will notice different kinds of blogging.
The most popular blogs seem to be those who post pornography, tragedies and all forms of bad news.
The "so called unpopular blogs" write on their area of interest such as fashion, cars, houses, food, children, lifestyle, politics etc.

Majority of you post " unlimited bad news"; i am not here to apportion blames, but may be you think you get more audience or followers through this.

#MYADVICE:- Always look at the bigger picture whenever you blog----don't do stuff just because of money (money is important I know) or popularity.

Many things you should remember when you blog:-
  • Remember Posterity.
  • Remember you are or will be a mentor to someone,
  • Be a guide to young people.
  • Remember you're building a brand.
Talking about branding; what kind of brand do you wanna be? Brand porno/bad-news/killings/popular?.

I used to follow some "respected bloggers" i won't mention names; but i discovered their blogging is now showing all kinds of porno and all sorts in the name of re-posting what celebrities put on instagram .

Do you know that every bad news or pornography you post, you give power and more publicity to, and in the nearest future you will be described and identified as such

I'm not a preacher i am just a blogger next door who always think of 2 major things when blogging.
1. My Audience
Who are they?(they could be teenagers, children)

2. My Brand.
Am I adding to the  pollution or the corruption in the world. Can I look back at my archives and still laugh and be fulfilled.

Ask yourself these questions and be the best blogger ever.

Have a great blogging week!

Fortune 500 rank:-20 Most Profitable Companies

1. Exxon MobilExxon Mobil rode high oil prices to a staggering $30 billion in income, making it the most profitable Fortune 500 company for the eighth year in a row.

Fortune 500 rank: 2
2010 profit: $30.5 billion

Like last year, Exxon was edged out as the largest company in the U.S. (that crown again goes to Wal-Mart), but it can boast about being the most profitable. With the recession past it, Exxon boosted earnings 59% thanks to rising oil prices driven by a recovering world economy. Oil isn't everything to Exxon.

After its 2009 mega-deal for XTO, natural gas now accounts for half of Exxon's global production. But even amid sluggish natural gas prices, Exxon remains in a league of its own on our list: its $30.5 billion in profits are a staggering $10 billion more than its closest oily competitor, Chevron, and more than 52 times the size of the median profits in the 500.

$6,000 Smartphone With Loads Of Benefits. You wanna buy one???

CNN reports, U.K. luxury phone maker Vertu has unveiled the Constellation, an Android-based device the company says features a blend of craftsmanship and technology.

A piece of clear, sapphire crystal that covers the screen is touted as one of the key design features. The crystal lies on top of a 4.3-inch high-definition screen, and is said to be scratch-proof against everything except diamonds.

The handset is built in a lightweight titanium case with leather backing. Buyers can choose from five relatively subdued case colors - cappuccino, black, orange, mocha and raspberry. Ringtones for the phone were recorded by the London Symphony Orchestra.

The British-made device, which costs about 10 times more than Apple's latest iPhone 5S, hopes to tempt the luxury buyer by providing more than just sleek design.

Anyone who buys the phone gains access to:-
1. Private members' clubs,
2. Invitation-only events and
3. Closed-door shopping experiences
4. New York's Core Club and Home House in London are among those that have aligned themselves with the Constellation service.

The company sees Asia as a hot market for the handset, which is available in 66 countries including the United States.
It's the second offering from Vertu this year, which released the even pricier Ti model -- retailing at about $10,000 -- in February. To top of page

Trade-In Your IPAD Now.

With a new iPad likely around the corner, iPad trade-ins are on the rise -- and selling prices are falling fast.ipad trade in

Companies like Gazelle and NextWorth, which buy used electronic devices, say they're experiencing a surge of customers trading in their old iPads. The spike began Tuesday, when Apple (AAPL, Fortune 500) announced it has an upcoming event Oct. 22. Apple is widely expected to be giving its tablet its first big redesign in more than a year and a half.

At Gazelle, iPad trade-ins have soared to their highest level this year. IPads now make up 20% of items traded in on Gazelle's website, up from 11% a week ago.
"Previous generations all look the same," said Anthony Scarsella, Gazelle's chief gadget officer. The new iPad could have more processing power, a better camera and even use Apple's latest Touch ID fingerprint sensor

If you're trading in: Let's say you've got a mid-range iPad 2 (black, 32 GB with WiFi) in good condition -- but not flawless. Last year, that could have fetched $300. How about now?

CNN-Money looked at the prevailing prices online Wednesday:

  • Amazon: If you're willing to wait around for a buyer, you post your iPad for sale on Amazon and easily sell it for $350. Amazon also has a trade-in program, offering $189.
  • Apple: Probably the worst deal out there, because of how restrictive it is. The Apple Reuse and Recycling Program offers $136 -- but only in the form of an Apple Store gift card.
  • Gazelle: $190. It's also more forgiving on nicks and scratches.
  • NextWorth: $180. It's also accommodating on the tablet's condition.
  • Best Buy: This one's a bit tricky, because "good" is the best listed condition. But if it's "fair," you only get $130.
  • GameStop: After an in-store inspection, you can choose between $161 in cash or a $202 in store credit.
  • RadioShack: $150 if you include the power adapter.
  • eBay: You're the seller so it's totally up to you. But it can easily go for $265 -- whenever a buyer eventually finds you.

What every blogger should know.

In my many months of blogging i have discovered so many truths.

One of the hardest thing about blogging is creating content.

If i just want to be any kind of blogger i will probably just go to popular websites, like www.omg.com, www.cnn.com, www.lindaikeji.blogspot.com, www.bellaniaja.com and others and copy and paste all kinds of news.

I am a very particular person, i pay extra attention to the news i post,i like to post real and verified news and this involves a lot of  hard-work. I have an 8-5 job and as such it became increasing difficult to create real content and became easy to copy and paste....lol

Because of my legal background i am also weary of posting news that i can't verify the source. I see a future, where legal issues will come up with stuff that people use on-line without prior request from the real owner or publisher.

Secondly i  have learnt that it is very important to create or build your own niche. A niche means--
"a place or position suitable or appropriate for a person or thing: to find one's niche in the business world.  a distinct segment of a market." www.dictionary.com
This will help you become comfortable with what you post and as such find your readers or followers. While finding your niche, your passion will also show up.
What you are not passionate about will be difficult for you to drive.
Thirdly, all these have brought me to find my own "niche". Therefore from 1st Nov 2013. I will launch my own "NICHE" for www.be-info.blogspot.com.
Its totally off the hook, not what you think.....*wink   *wink

Lastly as a blogger you need to pay attention to your overview-report; that is what shows you, your most popular post, the kind of audience you have, what country, source etc.

Watch-out for this space 1st of November, i am bringing a new dimension and intelligence to blogging. Thank you

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are engaged!

Kim and Kanye are engaged! Kanye West proposed to his babymama Kim K on her 33rd birthday last night October 21 at San Francisco's AT&T Park where the family was celebrating her day. Kanye, who had first asked Kris Jenner for permission to marry her daughter and gotten her approval, surprised the birthday girl by getting down on one knee in front of her family and friends and proposed with a flawless 15-carat diamond ring designed by jeweler, Lorraine Schwartz.
Kanye also used the field's jumbo screen to flash a "Pleease Marry Meee!!!" sign. It was a romantic evening as an orchestra played afterwards, with fireworks and roman candles exploding into the night sky. The stadium, which is home to the San Francisco Giants, was completely empty except for Kardashian close friends and family members.

Greece Mystery Girl Found!

(CNN) -- A lawyer for a Roma couple accused of abducting the girl found living with them says the pair adopted the child from her biological mother.
In a case that has generated huge interest in Greece, authorities have charged the couple with abducting the child they call "Maria." They appeared in court Monday and were remanded into custody pending a trial.
Authorities released photos of the child, possibly 4 or 5 years old, last week and sought public tips on her birth identity.
Kostas Katsavos, one of the couple's lawyers, told the Reuters news agency that they adopted Maria with the permission of her biological mother.

He conceded that the adoption was "non-legal." But he said he believes the biological mother will be located soon and will verify the couple's claims.
"They love her, and they took care as their own child," Katsavos said.
Haralambos Dimitriou, head of the local Roma community, said the couple took the girl in because her Bulgarian mother couldn't keep her. He said Maria was raised like a "normal" child.
Video provided by the Roma and shown to the media in the Roma settlement near Larissa does appear to show Maria dancing with a woman who is believed to be the same person now charged with abducting her. The Roma offered the video to demonstrate that Maria was happy and in good care.
Police suspicions
Police say they are suspicious of the records the couple provided for the child and for other children in their care. In addition to the abduction charge, the couple are accused of falsifying official documents.
Authorities asked questions about Maria because she has fair skin and blonde hair while her parents have darker complexions typical of Roma, also known as gypsies, a race descended from Indian nomads who face widespread discrimination in Europe.
Thousands of calls poured into Greece after authorities released photos of the girl last week.
Authorities released photos of the two adults Monday, hoping the publicity will reach someone who can provide more information about them.
Child 'doing much better'
A spokesman for the charity taking care of Maria said Sunday that she is in a group home where "she is doing much better."
Smile of the Child spokesman Panagiotis Pardalis said the girl was found in "bad living conditions, poor hygiene."
The child was found Thursday in the Roma community near Larissa in central Greece.
Authorities said the blonde child looked nothing like the man and woman with her, and DNA testing confirmed that they were not her biological parents.
A police statement said the couple "changed repeatedly their story about how they got the child."
The government news agency said police found suspicious birth and baptism records as well as family registrations that claimed the woman was mother to 10 children and the man was the father of four more.
Marietta Palavra, another attorney representing the couple, said DNA tests will show that five of the children belong to the man claiming to be their father but that there aren't conclusive results for the others. She would not elaborate.
Europe's Roma discrimination shame
Prejudice against the Roma
Prejudice and discrimination against the Roma are widespread in Greece and elsewhere in Europe, Amnesty International says.
Maria's case plays into old prejudices about them stealing children for forced labor.
Pardalis mentioned such a possibility, saying, "We don't have any other information if this girl was forced to work or to beg on streets."
And the government news agency raised "the possibility of the existence of a ring bringing pregnant women to Greece from Bulgaria and then taking their children for sale." The agency also cited past "reports" that empty coffins were found for infants who supposedly were stillborn to foreign mothers in Athens.
Journalist Elina Labropoulou contributed to this report.

Breaking News Another Shooting: Nevada Middle School: Teacher killed, two students wounded

(CNN) -- A student opening fire with a handgun he took from his parents. Screaming students running for cover. A teacher, trying to help, shot dead. Two students wounded. The terror lasted just a few brutal minutes.
As authorities investigated, details were still trickling out hours after a deadly shooting Monday at a Nevada middle school.
One official described the scene at Sparks Middle School with one word: chaos.
Students described to CNN how they ran into the school screaming and crying when they realized the pops they heard were gunshots just before the morning bell welcomed them back from fall break.
The shooter took a handgun from his parents, a federal law enforcement source who was briefed on the situation told CNN's Evan Perez.
The gunman eventually shot and killed himself with the semiautomatic gun, Sparks Deputy Chief Tom Miller said Monday evening at a news conference.

Authorities said the shooter's motive was unclear.
"It's too early to say whether he was targeting specific people or just going on an indiscriminate shooting spree," said Tom Robinson, deputy chief of the Reno Police Department.
Teacher loved his kids, brother says
Mike Landsberry, a popular math teacher at the school, was killed in the shooting, Sparks Mayor Geno Martini told CNN.
In addition to his work as a teacher, Landsberry also had served in the Marines and served several tours in Afghanistan as a member of the Nevada Air National Guard, his brother, Reggie, told CNN's "Anderson Cooper 360."
"He was the kind of person that if someone needed help he would be there," Reggie Landsberry said. "He loved teaching. He loved the kids. He loved coaching them. ... He was just a good all-around individual."
Reggie Landsberry said his brother was probably trying to "talk the kid down and protect whoever he could. That sounds like Mike."
One student told "Pier Morgan Live" that she knew the student who shot Landsberry and wounded two 12-year-old schoolmates.
"He was really a nice kid," Amaya Newton told CNN. "He would make you smile when you were having bad day."
He even offered to buy other students something to cheer them up, Newton said.
Newton said she thought the two students who were wounded were friends of the shooter.
She and her mother, Tabatha, said they thought the shooter had been bullied in the past.

Nigerian President, Goodluck Jonathan promises stable power supply across Nigeria by mid 2014

Stable power supply? Seriously? What does that mean? 24 hours or 20 hours.......

The 10 NIPP plants will be concluded early next year, the president said.

President Goodluck Jonathan on Saturday promised reasonably stable power supply in the country by the middle of 2014.
The President made this promise while inaugurating the Phase II 500mw Omotosho National Integrated Power Project (NIPP) Plant in Ondo State.
He added that the Federal Government was targeting 4,700mw from 10 NIPPs which he said would be completed before the end of the first quarter of 2014.

According to him, the 10 NIPP projects will be handed over to the private sector next year after completion and inauguration.
He expressed optimism that the private sector, which had invested $3 billion into the nation’s power sector, would do what it did in the banking and the telecommunication sectors.

Mr. Jonathan implored workers of defunct PHCN, who had yet to receive their entitlements and severance package, to be patient, adding that they would be paid soon.
The President enjoined them not to go on strike or do anything that could affect the government’s effort at ensuring reasonable efficiency in the power sector.
Prior to his speech, Mr. Jonathan directed that a minute’s silence be observed in honour of the late Governor Olusegun Agagu of Ondo State, during whose tenure as Minister of Power the project started.

Gov. Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo state commended the President for his commitment to the improvement of the power sector.
He said the State Government had also embarked on the building of 30mw NIPP at Omotosho area of the state.
The governor said the project was embarked upon pursuant to the government’s commitment to industrial development of the state.
He added that the President would be invited soon for the commissioning of the project.

Mr. Mimiko told the President that the Omotosho power plant would have the desired impact only when the necessary transmission was done.
He stated that the transmission infrastructure needed to be built in three areas of the state.
Earlier, the Minister of Power, Chinedu Nebo, directed that 32kva transmission lines be installed from Omotosho through Ore to Ondo and Akure.
Mr. Nebo said the transmission line, when completed, would relieve the Osogbo-Akure transmission line currently serving the state.
He said the NIPP was contributing 1,600mw into the national grid.

The minister said the formal handover of the defunct PHCN facilities to the investors would be done in the next two weeks. www.premiumtimesng.com

APPLE TV COMING OUT THIS HOLIDAY.

Three recent bits of news suggest that Apple will announce something significant about Apple TV on Tuesday.
Apple has been making a lot of new content deals with cable systems and content providers that are on their way to attaining a critical mass for consumers. Elgan writes that “for high-end TV enthusiasts, the Apple TV experience will become ‘indispensable,’ while individual cable subscriptions will be ‘dispensable.’” Deals with HBO, ESPN , Disney and perhaps now AMC are making Apple TV an all-in-one solution for more an more consumers.
Second, strange sightings on the French and German Amazon sites indicated the current Apple TV as out of stock but coming in stock on October 23, a day after the Apple announcement. This may be as erroneous as a previous rumor about a consignment recieved by Apple of “set top boxes” from China in September, but both rumors align with the common sense notion that Apple is due to drop a new Apple TV generation. www.forbes.com

Nigeria to Experience 2 Eclipses...Today & Sunday.

News reaching us from Nigeria bulletin reports that Nigerians will experience a partial or rather penumbra lunar eclipse around midnight today, and a total solar eclipse on Sunday.
According to The Guardian, the 2013 penumbral lunar eclipse will be visible as well throughout the Caribbean, Europe, Africa and Asia. A report from Discovery.com says: “For observers in Africa, Europe and western Asia, the eclipse will occur in the middle of the night when the moon is high overhead. The partial shading will be visible as the slight reddish dimming of the normally bright full moon".

The partial eclipse would be visible in most parts of Nigeria between 10.53 p.m. today and 2.48 a.m. October 19, 2013. During the lunar eclipse today, part of the moon will skirt through only the outer edge of the earth’s shadow in what scientists call a penumbra lunar eclipse.

While on Sunday, most parts of northern Nigeria, including Kaduna, are expected to experience total solar eclipse unlike other parts of the country like Lagos, which will experience only partial solar eclipse.

The last time Nigeria experienced a total solar eclipse was on March 29, 2006.
