The MTV Base VJ Search is back and bigger.

The MTV Base VJ Search is back and bigger than ever, as South Africa’s entertainment icons put the future VJ’s of MTV Base through their paces in an out of the ordinary journey.
Nomuzi Mabena and the team from MTV Base will "crisscross" South Africa to the sunshine city of Durban, the mother city Cape Town and also to the city of gold, Johannesburg to find the next MTV Base VJ.
With open auditions across the country, the VJ search contenders have to stand out from the crowd and make an impression so that they have a shot at walking away with an anti-ordinary Citroen DS3 Cabrio Sport and a contract worth over half a million rand representing the continent globally on MTV Base.
From the thousands of entries, MTV Base will select 30 hot and no so hot entrants from Durban, Cape Town and Johannesburg who will be put under scrutiny in front of MTV’s very own Sizwe Dhlomo and a panel of local celebrities from each city.
Under this spotlight, the VJ Search contenders will need to present a link from an MTV red carpet event and with the help of a local comedian, they have to interview a variety of A-List African and international artists.
