There will be a hybrid solar eclipse – part annular, part total, part partial – on Sunday November 3, 2013. It’ll happen very early in the morning on Sunday, according to clocks in the U.S.

To see the annular or total eclipse, you’ll need to be standing within a narrow pathway on Earth’s surface, and, in fact, for this eclipse, the best place to be is Africa.

IMPORTANT: This eclipse happens early on Sunday, according to U.S. clocks! Online coverage begins at 1045 UTC (4:45 a.m. CST) on November 3. Also remember,in the U.S., Daylight Saving Time ends November 3.
